Job Description
Your role as a Technical Business Analyst in the banking domain will involve the following key responsibilities:
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand and document banking requirements, processes, and workflows.
- Analyze complex banking systems, identify gaps, and recommend technical solutions.
- Facilitate workshops and discussions to gather, document, and validate business and functional requirements.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure solutions meet business needs and compliance standards.
- Define and document business and technical requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Support the implementation of banking solutions by performing UAT, system validations, and post-implementation reviews.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain documentation such as BRDs, FSDs, use cases, process flows, and technical specifications.
- Identify automation opportunities and propose technology-driven enhancements.
- Liaise with cross-functional teams, including finance, risk, compliance, and IT, to drive strategic initiatives.
- Utilize data analytics and reporting tools to derive insights and optimize banking operations.
Qualifications and Experience required for this role include:
- 10+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst in the banking domain.
- Strong understanding of retail banking, corporate banking, digital banking, lending, payments, or core banking systems.
- Hands-on experience in requirement gathering, process mapping, gap analysis, and stakeholder management.
- Experience working with banking regulations and compliance frameworks.
- Proficiency in SQL, data analysis, reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), and API integrations.
- Familiarity with banking technologies such as Temenos, Finacle, Oracle FLEXCUBE, or similar.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience in Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) and automation tools is a plus.
- Experience in working with cross-functional teams in large financial institutions.
