Role Overview:
As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing domestic, regional, and/or global projects. Your role will involve developing and managing project teams, communications, risk, scope, schedule, cost, quality, and stakeholders. You will be expected to proactively mitigate variances from the plan and ensure client expectations are met. Additionally, a working knowledge of IT solution development, solution deployment, data migration, solution retirement, and/or IT infrastructure and IT cyber security is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for project delivery with regards to agreed time, scope, cost, quality, successful outcomes, and project value
- Serve as key business/client contact for assigned projects, establishing working relationships with business/client project teams
- Lead core project team(s) and facilitate effective cross-functional teamwork among internal and external stakeholders
- Create, maintain, and manage detailed Project Plans using approved PMO Tools; clearly articulating work breakdown structures of deliverables
- Partner with resource managers and functional owners to identify all resources required for project execution
- Understand project delivery strategy, costing assumptions, resulting budget, and create project accounting records
- Deliver project(s) to scope, schedule, and costs, ensuring compliance with financial performance targets
- Proactively lead quality control and risk assurance activities to ensure project deliverables meet regulatory and business/client requirements
- Manage variance to required project plans, monitor progress against project plans, and ensure projects are delivered meeting GxP Quality compliance rules
- Define and manage project resource needs, establish succession plans for key resources, and ensure Steering Committee is established for projects
- Support presentations for new projects and client business, develop an understanding of Agile ways of working, and assist in moving towards adopting these ways of working
- Provide line management and technical support to assigned project leaders, including training, development, and performance review of staff
Qualifications Required:
- University/college degree in Information Technology preferred, or certification in Information Technology
- Minimum of Twelve (12) years of IT project experience in related functional areas
- Experience in managing all aspects of office/property moves and IT setup
- Working knowledge of regulatory requirements and IT technologies
- Advanced computer skills, experience managing projects in a matrix and virtual environment
- Excellent communication, planning, organizational skills, ability to lead by example, handle multiple priorities, inspire effective teamwork, and motivate staff
- Financial awareness, good knowledge of project management processes, ability to work independently and mentor junior team members, negotiate and liaise with clients professionally, and present to staff at all levels
