UI/UX Designer

In your role as a UI/UX Designer at Kaalpanik, you will be responsible for redesigning a cutting-edge data visualization and analytics web application to effectively communicate quantitative data and visually tell a story to customers. You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of Product Managers, Customers, and Developers to progress from conception to prototyping and execution of dashboards and customer interfaces. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Providing thought leadership, best practices, and standards around DataViz and Information Design to the team.
• Contributing positively to design discussions through sketches, constructive design commentary, and evaluative critique.
• Designing user experiences based on real needs, motivations, and pain-points.
• Establishing strong relationships with product and development teams within the business unit.
• Delivering UI recommendations in the form of documentation, wireframes, mockups, or a moderate level of prototyping.
• Effectively communicating research findings, conceptual ideas, detailed design, and design rationale both verbally and visually.

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

• Degree education in Design from a known Institute/University.
• 2 - 3 years of experience in UX & UI design of web and mobile applications.
• Proficiency in using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. Knowledge of Adobe In Design and other Adobe tools, Microsoft PowerPoint, or Apple Keynote for creating mock-ups will be advantageous.
• Strong visual communication, storyboarding skills, and good conceptualization ability.
• Understanding of user-centered design methodologies.
• Design experience in Data Visualization or Business Intelligence is a bonus.
