Senior Software Test Engineer

As a QA Engineer/Senior QA Engineer, your role will be crucial in ensuring the quality and stability of e-commerce platforms, particularly those built on Magento and customized modules. You will collaborate closely with the development and product teams to test and validate product features, identify bugs, and ensure that each release meets the highest standards of quality and functionality. - Develop and implement comprehensive test plans, including functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing for Magento-based features and custom modules. - Collaborate with product and development teams to create test cases ensuring complete coverage, prioritizing testing efforts based on feature criticality, business needs, and risk assessments. - Perform manual testing of new features, customizations, and bug fixes across various platforms to ensure alignment with product specifications. - Validate user experience (UX), performance, and responsiveness of the platform across different devices and browsers. - Accurately document and track defects, working closely with developers for timely resolutions. - Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using relevant tools for efficient regression testing. - Implement test automation for continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to accelerate release cycles. - Identify opportunities for increased automation to reduce manual effort and enhance test coverage. - Conduct compatibility testing across different platforms (mobile, tablet, desktop) to ensure consistent user experience. - Verify optimal performance of features across various browsers, operating systems, and devices. - Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to perform performance and load testing, identifying bottlenecks and providing optimization recommendations. - Use issue tracking tools like JIRA, Bugzilla to log, track, and manage defects, creating detailed bug reports with actionable steps. - Work closely with developers to understand architecture and ensure tests validate critical paths and edge cases. - Assist in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and provide input for process improvement and quality assurance practices. - Actively contribute to the development of testing best practices, tools, and methodologies. - Stay updated with the latest trends in QA, automation, and e-commerce testing for continuous process improvement. Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience. 3 to 7 years of experience in quality assurance testing, with a focus on e-commerce platforms (Magento experience is a plus). Strong understanding of testing methodologies, including unit, integration, regression, and UAT. Experience with API testing (Postman, SoapUI) and database testing (SQL). Hands-on experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG). Experience in performance testing using tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar. Proficiency in bug tracking and test management tools like JIRA, TestRail. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing integration. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Knowledge of agile methodologies and experience in Scrum teams. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration. Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS) and microservices architectures. Knowledge of programming languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript. Experience with data analysis and reporting tools. ISTQB or similar certification is a plus.
