Role Overview:
As a Data Engineer at the company, your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and maintain Snowflake databases and data warehouse solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data models and pipelines, ensuring data security, quality, and compliance in Snowflake environments. Additionally, you will monitor and troubleshoot Snowflake and SQL systems for performance issues, migrate and modernize existing legacy ETL jobs for Snowflake, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data engineering processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Snowflake databases and data warehouse solutions.
- Build and optimize SQL queries for data processing and reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data models and pipelines.
- Ensure data security, quality, and compliance in Snowflake environments.
- Monitor and troubleshoot Snowflake and SQL systems for performance issues.
- Migrate and modernize existing legacy ETL jobs for Snowflake.
- Develop and implement a configuration-driven Data Ingestion framework.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data engineering processes.
Qualifications Required:
- Minimum of 5+ years of related experience.
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- Expertise in Snowflake DB and its various architecture principles and capabilities.
- Experience with data warehousing, data architecture, ETL data pipeline, and/or data engineering environments at an enterprise scale built on Snowflake.
- Ability to create Strong SQL Procedures in Snowflake and build a Data Pipeline efficiently.
- Strong experience with AWS Cloud.
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools like Git, Mercurial, SVN.
- Knowledge of SDLC, Testing & CI/CD aspects such as Jenkins, JIRA.
