Job Description

Role Overview:

As a Senior Manager in the Finance & Accounts department at the Port business, your main objective is to oversee all finance and accounting functions. This includes activities such as budgeting, financial planning & analysis, MIS, accounting, treasury and working capital management, receivables management, statutory compliances, audits, and financial reporting. Your role is crucial in supporting the business growth through sound financial governance, controls, and decision support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation, consolidation, review, and finalization of annual OPEX and CAPEX budgets. Ensure timely approvals and conduct periodic budget reviews.
  • Monitor and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue, cost, and profitability performance. Identify variances and recommend corrective actions to management.
  • Provide financial evaluation and decision support to the business for capital expenditure proposals and investment decisions.
  • Ensure timely preparation and circulation of monthly MIS. Coordinate financial performance reviews with business stakeholders.
  • Oversee the preparation, analysis, and review of financial statements in line with applicable accounting standards.
  • Analyze expenses, receivables, and working capital trends. Recommend and drive corrective measures for operational efficiency.
  • Manage cash flows, liquidity position, and short-term investment decisions to optimize returns and ensure adequate funding.
  • Ensure compliance with internal audit observations. Continuously strengthen internal financial controls and processes.
  • Ensure completion of statutory audits within defined timelines. Take appropriate actions on audit observations.
  • Ensure adherence to all statutory and regulatory compliances including Service Tax / GST, EPCG obligations, and other applicable laws.
  • Lead, coach, and motivate the finance team through effective communication, performance management, and capability building.
  • Stay updated on industry developments, regulatory changes, and adopt modern financial systems and technologies aligned with business requirements.

Qualification Required:

  • Educational Qualifications: Chartered Accountant (CA)
  • Relevant Experience:
  • 6-8 years of experience in Finance & Accounts
  • Experience in handling end-to-end finance operations in a large organization or infrastructure/port setup
  • Strong exposure to balance sheet finalization, statutory audits, and regulatory compliances Role Overview:
