Senior AI Engineer

As an AI Engineer at BraindAI, you will be responsible for owning projects end-to-end without the need for constant instructions or hand-holding. You are expected to read the brief, analyze the problem, consider edge cases, develop the solution, conduct thorough testing, and confidently deliver the final product. Your work at BraindAI will involve utilizing AI tools like Claude Code to enhance your productivity and efficiency in building complete AI systems for clients across various sectors. Key Responsibilities: - Build complete AI systems for clients in industries such as insurance, cybersecurity, and healthcare, ensuring real data, users, and business outcomes are considered. - Design and implement backend architectures using Supabase, PostgreSQL, and serverless functions, taking ownership of data models, API design, authentication flows, and system reliability. - Create complex multi-step automations by developing workflows that involve API calls, data transformations, conditional logic, error handling, webhook integrations, and scheduled triggers. - Integrate AI models such as Claude and OpenAI into production systems with proper prompt engineering, output validation, fallback handling, and cost management. - Develop frontend interfaces, including dashboards, admin panels, and client-facing portals when required, using technologies like Next.js, React, and Tailwind, ensuring a polished and professional appearance. - Ensure quality from start to finish by testing your own work, anticipating edge cases, and taking immediate responsibility for any issues that arise in production. Qualifications Required: - Hands-on experience in building production software with a strong full-stack capability. - Proficiency with tools such as Claude Code, n8n, Supabase/PostgreSQL, Next.js/React, Claude API/OpenAI API, and webhook-based integrations. - Demonstrated experience in autonomous working style, strong written communication, and an accountability mindset. - Familiarity with agile project management methodologies, such as working in cycles with clearly defined features and undergoing quality gates before shipping. - Background in insurance, fintech, or healthcare tech, and experience working in a client services environment with real deadlines would be advantageous.
