Research & Resource Facilitator

As a School Librarian, you will be responsible for curating, organizing, and maintaining a diverse collection of print and digital resources to support all subject areas and IB programmes. You will foster a reading culture through activities such as book talks, reading challenges, author visits, and literary events. Your key responsibilities will include: - Teaching and reinforcing research skills, referencing, citation, and academic honesty practices across grade levels. - Collaborating with teachers to plan and co-deliver inquiry-based learning experiences. - Providing guidance to students and staff in locating, evaluating, and using resources effectively. - Managing the library budget, acquisitions, cataloguing, and database systems using Destiny Library Management System. - Integrating digital literacy skills, including safe and ethical use of information and media. - Promoting the use of digital tools and platforms to enhance teaching and learning. - Creating an inclusive and welcoming library environment that caters to varied learning styles and needs. - Organizing and maintaining up-to-date records of library holdings and circulation via Destiny. - Supporting PYP Exhibition and MYP Personal Project research processes. - Staying updated on IB curriculum developments, library technologies, and global best practices in school librarianship.
