Professional Services Sr. Project Manager

As a Professional Services Senior Project Manager at our company, you will be responsible for leading, controlling, and managing Professional Services projects for complex client engagements. Your main focus will be on building and managing relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and internal teams at Rackspace. You will maintain commercial responsibility for the projects and identify new opportunities to assist customers with their business problems. Your role will involve uniting and providing direction to internal and external technical and non-technical teams to ensure all targets and requirements are met within the set schedule and budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage Rackspace and client stakeholders to gather and document requirements that address customer pain points and objectives
• Manage project profitability, revenue, margins, and utilization through proactive forecasting and identifying scope changes or new revenue opportunities
• Build and maintain relationships with customers to identify new business opportunities
• Effectively manage resources to achieve project goals, escalating any conflicting resource requirements promptly
• Maintain a network of technical resources within Rackspace and relevant partnerships for increased productivity and rapid problem resolution
• Contribute to refining the Rackspace Professional Services methodology
• Provide a FANATICAL EXPERIENCE by showcasing the value of Rackspace to potential and existing customers and internal sales teams
• Travel as required for project needs

Qualifications Required:

• PMP/Prince2 certification (minimum) and working knowledge/certification in one or more additional project management methodologies
• Expertise in Azure/AWS/GCP and understanding of Agile methodologies
• 5+ years of experience in successfully delivering Cloud Transformation Projects, including DC Migrations, Applications Modernization, DevOps Transformation, and Software Development using cloud-native technologies
• Technical conversational knowledge in Cloud Migration Strategy, Data center operations, Applications Modernization, IT Service Management, and Service Delivery
• Proven ability to organize and execute projects consistently and reliably
• Excellent time management, communication, decision-making, and presentation skills
• Ability to resolve problems in a timely manner and communicate technical information effectively
• Proficiency in cloud technologies, IT operations, and project management tools
• Adaptability to a rapidly changing environment and handling shifting priorities effectively
