Job Description

Role Overview: As a Legal Intern at HyperVerge, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the in-house legal team, focusing on various corporate, compliance, and technology law functions that are crucial for driving and protecting the company's global operations. Your role will require you to take on significant responsibilities right from the start. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct in-depth legal research on topics such as AI governance, data protection (GDPR, CCPA), intellectual property, and tech compliance. - Keep track of regulatory changes impacting industries like SaaS, fintech, and AI. - Translate complex legal concepts into actionable insights for internal stakeholders. - Assist in reviewing, redlining, and managing contracts such as NDAs, MSAs, SaaS agreements, and partnership contracts. - Maintain an organized repository of contractual documents to ensure version control and timely renewals. - Collaborate with business teams to facilitate smooth and compliant deal-making. - Work on internal compliance audits, risk assessments, and data privacy initiatives. - Prepare filings and documentation related to licensing, corporate governance, and international business regulations. - Help align internal processes with evolving laws like the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA) and GDPR. - Support strategic legal initiatives impacting product development, people, and partnerships. - Manage internal documentation, reporting, and knowledge bases. - Take charge of ad hoc legal and business operations assignments. Qualifications Required: - Fourth or Final Year student pursuing BA.LLB/BBA.LLB/LLM from a reputed law school. - Proficient in legal research and writing. - Interest in technology law, corporate governance, and emerging compliance frameworks. - Strong command of Microsoft Office tools and familiarity with collaborative platforms like Google Suite and Notion. - Attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership.
