Role Overview:
As a Senior Manager, SEO at Lowe's, you will be responsible for establishing the enterprise-wide foundation for SEO, AEO, and GEO. Your focus will be on defining standards, governance frameworks, SOPs, and measurement models to enable cross-functional teams to incorporate SEO best practices into their processes effectively. You will lead the SEO/AEO/GEO center of excellence, drive SEO education and evangelism, and build an analytics and experimentation program to enhance organic performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and maintain enterprise-wide SEO, AEO, and GEO governance frameworks, guiding principles, standards, and decision-rights across technical, content, and off-page SEO.
- Create SEO playbooks for different functions (e.g., Product, Content, UX, Engineering) to codify best practices, guidelines, and checklists for execution teams.
- Establish and lead a Center of Enablement (CoE) for SEO, providing office hours, consults, documentation, and self-service tools for consistent execution at scale.
- Develop frameworks and standards for Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) and Generative/AI-driven experiences (GEO), including structured data and entity optimization.
- Collaborate with Product & Engineering to embed SEO requirements into roadmaps, release processes, and platforms.
- Monitor compliance with SEO governance through audits and dashboards, driving corrective actions as needed.
- Lead the SEO experimentation program, defining test strategy, governance, and prioritized experiment backlog.
- Partner with Analytics/Data Science teams to ensure proper instrumentation and interpretation of SEO experiments.
- Act as a strategic thought partner to SEO and Digital leadership on the long-term vision for SEO, AEO, and GEO.
- Influence senior stakeholders to adopt SEO best practices and invest in SEO-enabling capabilities.
Qualifications Required:
- 8+ years of experience in SEO / Organic Growth in a digital, e-commerce, or product-led environment.
- 3+ years of experience in a senior/lead role focused on enterprise SEO strategy, governance, or analytics/experimentation.
- Prior experience in complex, matrixed organizations with multiple stakeholder groups.
- Bachelors degree in Digital Marketing, Business Analytics, Computer Science preferred.
- Deep expertise in key pillars of SEO, familiarity with AEO and emerging GEO/AI search experiences.
- Strong background in SEO analytics, reporting, and experimentation.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across functions.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and passion for scalable technologies such as machine learning.
