Lead QA Engineer

As a Lead QA Engineer at Global Payments Inc., you will play a crucial role in driving quality strategy, automation direction, and release readiness for business-critical .NET platforms, including .NET 8 migration programs. Your responsibilities will encompass a combination of hands-on automation expertise and technical leadership within the payments and merchant services domain. Key Responsibilities: - Own QA strategy and test approach for business-critical applications, both functional and non-functional. - Lead end-to-end testing across Web, API, integration, and messaging layers. - Provide technical leadership for Selenium with C# automation frameworks. - Define and enforce automation standards and coverage, implementing test cases strategy based on the test pyramid. - Drive test execution through Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines. - Oversee API and messaging validation, including REST, gRPC, WCF, and RabbitMQ. - Guide performance testing using JMeter. - Drive data validation and reporting quality, particularly in SQL and SSRS. - Oversee security and access validation with tools like Okta, Azure AD, and Snyk. - Lead defect triage, root cause analysis, and production issue investigations using tools like Splunk. - Support and lead regression analysis, sign-off processes, and nightly defect resolution in a scaled environment. - Own release quality metrics, risk assessment, and sign-off procedures. - Support testing and validations during and before deployment, including stage validation. - Mentor QA engineers and collaborate effectively with engineering and DevOps teams. Qualifications: Required Skills: - 810+ years of QA experience. - Proven QA Lead / Quality Owner experience. - Strong background in manual and automation testing, with SDET capabilities. - Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining test frameworks. - Proficiency in Selenium with C# automation and POM design pattern. - Expertise in Web, API, integration, and performance testing (manual and automated). - Strong skills in SQL and data validation. - Proficient in Behavior Driven Development Frameworks like Specflow and Reqnroll. - Experience with Git/GitHub commands and version control. - Familiarity with Agile methodologies and shift-left testing, experience with SAFe framework is an advantage. - Preferred experience in the payments/financial domain. - Upper-Intermediate English proficiency.
