Job Description
As a Web Application Developer for Rosemount Level Measurement Products at Emerson, your responsibilities will include:
- Capturing & developing software requirements
- Preparing software design and architecture for projects
- Developing high level and low-level design for assigned projects
- Liaising with User Experience designers for frontend development
- Designing and implementing scalable Microservices
- Participating & contributing to code reviews
- Developing and unit testing web-based applications
- Collaborating and coordinating with developers, testers, and product owners
- Committing to improving software techniques and processes for continuous improvement
- Contributing & presenting in project evaluations
- Being willing to work flexible hours that work best with the local and remote engineering teams.
To excel in this role, you will need:
- A B.E/B. Tech or M. Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Electronics
- A minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in software design, development & maintenance
- Minimum 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in .Net Core, C#.Net, ASP.Net MVC
- Strong experience in frontend development using HTML5/CSS, Bootstrap, REACT JS, Vue JS, JavaScript/Typescript
- Working knowledge of SQL or SQLite Database and stored procedures
- Experience in Microservices based architecture and design philosophies
- Proficiency in both adaptive and responsive designs
- Design and implementation of RESTful APIs and understanding of OAuth 2.0
- Hands-on working experience on Docker, Container networking & Kubernetes
- Experience with application deployment using CI/CD in DevOps environments like Jenkins, Azure
- Experience in developing applications on Windows & Linux OS platforms
- Experience in using any static & dynamic code analysis tool would be preferred
- Proficiency in C++ is required to maintain and enhance legacy systems, ensuring stability, performance, and compatibility with existing architecture.
Preferred qualifications that set you apart include:
- Working knowledge on Communication Protocol development like OPC UA, Modbus, TCP/IP
- Experience in Cyber Security Verification tools, e.g., CIS-CAT Pro
- Experience in Cyber Security SDLC (Secure Coding)
- Experience in developing applications using TCP/IP Socket Programming, Serial Communication
- Experience using Azure DevOps for planning & CI/CD environment
- Experience using Scrum methodology.
