As a Director of Engineering at Oolio, you will play a crucial role in owning the technical excellence, delivery quality, and growth of engineering teams building core B2B SaaS platforms at a scale-up stage. Your responsibilities will involve leading architecture and design discussions, providing hands-on technical leadership in Golang, Node.js, and React ecosystems, designing and evolving event-driven architectures, and building systems that scale to optimize performance and reliability. Additionally, you will drive cloud-native and hybrid architectures, ensure strong engineering quality through automated testing strategies, own production excellence, mentor and grow senior engineers, build and scale high-performing engineering teams, and collaborate with the top management to align engineering execution with Oolio Group's vision. **Key Responsibilities:** - Own end-to-end delivery of complex product features and platforms, from architecture to deployment, observability, and customer impact - Lead architecture and design discussions to drive best practices in event-driven, distributed, and scalable systems - Provide hands-on technical leadership in Golang, Node.js, and React ecosystems, including code reviews and critical problem solving - Design and evolve event-driven architectures using async messaging, queues, streams, and pub/sub patterns - Build systems that scale to optimize performance, throughput, reliability, and cost - Drive cloud-native and hybrid architectures, with experience across AWS deployments based on customer and business needs - Ensure strong engineering quality through automated testing strategies, CI/CD pipelines, and release best practices - Own production excellence through monitoring, alerting, incident response, and continuous improvement of system reliability - Mentor, coach, and grow Senior and Lead Engineers, running career growth conversations and building strong technical leaders - Translate business problems into technical solutions, ensuring engineering teams understand the "why" behind what they build - Demonstrate strong ownership and accountability by focusing on customer success, adoption, and business outcomes - Drive engineering best practices across architecture, security, performance, documentation, and operational excellence **Qualifications Required:** - Experience: 10 18 Years (with strong technical/hands-on - 80% + people leadership - 20%) - Education: Pref - MCA/B.Tech/B.E/M.Tech/M.E/M.S - Technology Stack: Golang, Node.js, React, SQL, event-driven and distributed architecture, AWS, HLD, LLD, Application Design, Performance, Scalability, testing - Other Requirements: Strong understanding of data consistency, concurrency, fault tolerance, and system design trade-offs. Proven track record of partnering with leadership to set product and engineering strategy. Actively coached engineers and helped them grow into senior and leadership roles.
