Cloud Applications Engineer

Role Overview: As a Cloud Application Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying cloud-native applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will collaborate with architects, DevOps engineers, and other developers to deliver scalable cloud solutions. Your primary focus will be on ensuring applications are secure, reliable, and cost-efficient in the cloud environment. Additionally, you will support containerized workloads with Docker and Kubernetes (GKE) and set up monitoring, logging, and alerting with tools like Stackdriver and Prometheus. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and deploy cloud-native applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). - Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Cloud Build. - Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform or Deployment Manager. - Collaborate with team members to deliver scalable cloud solutions. - Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting with Stackdriver, Prometheus, or similar tools. - Ensure applications are secure, reliable, and cost-efficient in the cloud environment. - Support containerized workloads with Docker and Kubernetes (GKE). Qualifications Required: - 3+ years of experience in software development with a focus on cloud-based architectures. - Hands-on experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services like App Engine, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, GKE, etc. - Solid understanding of DevOps principles and tools. - Proficiency in Python, Go, or Java. - Experience with CI/CD pipelines, IaC, containerization, and Kubernetes. - Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and security practices in the cloud. - GCP Certifications (e.g., Professional Cloud Developer or DevOps Engineer) are a big plus! Additional Details: Experience with multi-cloud environments (Azure, AWS), familiarity with microservices architecture and API management, and exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies are considered nice to have for this role.
