Business Analyst- Retail & Consumer Process Goods

Role Overview: As a Business Analyst at WNS, your role will be crucial in understanding client business requirements and translating them into implementable technical requirements and user stories. Leveraging your extensive experience in data analysis and analytics, along with deep domain expertise in the Retail & Consumer Goods industry, you will provide actionable insights and recommendations that drive business success. You are expected to have exposure to functional areas such as Product Development, Manufacturing and Operations, Sales and Marketing, Supply Chain and Logistics, and Customer Relations and Support, within Lines of Business including Food and Beverages, Apparel and Fashion, Consumer Electronics, and Home and Personal Care. Key Responsibilities: - Demonstrate a strong understanding of the Retail & Consumer Goods industry, including challenges, trends, and specific data needs. - Analyze large datasets to extract valuable insights and trends specific to the industry. - Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, ensuring a deep understanding of domain-specific needs. - Understand data models and help translate complex business needs into structured data solutions. - Provide analytical and business intelligence inputs to customer data visualizations and dashboard requirements and performance metrics. - Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscapes to inform data-driven decision-making. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data-driven solutions and initiatives. - Provide inputs to the data engineering team to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity within the domain. - Proficiency in analytics and Data Tools, such as Python, R, SQL, Tableau, Power BI is desirable. - Knowledge of data security and privacy regulations. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Computer Science, Data Science). - 10-12 years of experience in business analysis, with a strong focus on data and analytics in the Retail & Consumer Goods industry. - Strong functional exposure to data management, statistical analysis, and data visualization. - Familiarity with industry-specific software and tools such as Python, R, SQL. - Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, collaborative team environment. - Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
