Job Description
As a BI Architect at Circle K, you will be part of the Enterprise BI team driving a cloud-first strategy to enable data insights and analytics across the company. Your role will involve hands-on responsibilities in BI governance architecture and collaborating with technical development teams and business stakeholders to ensure successful analytics implementation.
**Roles & Responsibilities:**
- Design and architect scalable BI solutions for reporting and analytics needs
- Define and implement BI architecture standards and governance principles
- Evaluate and integrate BI tools and technologies like Power BI, Tableau, etc.
- Manage Power BI workspace permissions, security roles, and licensing costs
- Ensure report quality, consistency, and security across BI platforms
- Lead the design of data models and data warehouse structures
- Collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams, and enforce reporting quality standards
- Write custom scripts for data extraction and optimize DAX queries for performance
**Job Requirements:**
- **Education:** Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field. Masters degree preferred.
- **Relevant Experience:** 7+ years in BI engineering or data analytics, with 2+ years in BI governance.
- **Technical Skills:** Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate or equivalent, experience with governance platforms, data security, compliance standards, DevOps processes, and data extraction tools.
- **Behavioural Skills:** Delivery Excellence, Business disposition, Social intelligence, Innovation and agility, Purposeful leadership.
- **Knowledge:** Strong hands-on experience with Power BI, relational database design, data warehousing, Python/Spark scripting, cloud data platforms, and excellent communication skills.
