Job Description
As a Project Engineer of Centrifugal compressors, your role will involve Mechanical Design and Structural Finite element analysis using ANSYS. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Study consultant/customer specs & convert them to purchase specs
- Review of GA, Foundation, P&ID
- Liaison with consultant/customer for drawing & document approval
- Review & approval of vendor data
- Project handling experience with consultants EIL, L&T, BHEL, NTPC, Fitchner, Toyo, DESEIN
- Design of shaft, threaded joints, welded joints, skid
- Design of pressure vessels as per ASME codes & Standards
- Centrifugal compressor layout design
- Design of cast & forged components
- Design of acoustic enclosure/canopy
- Design of air, oil & water system for compressors
- Tolerance stack-up analysis
- Handling team of CAD engineers (2 to 3 members)
- Knowledge of heat exchanger codes like TEMA
- Mechanical testing of Centrifugal compressors
- Good knowledge of structural FEA using ANSYS (Meshing, Static Stress)
- CAD geometry clean up for FEA
- Knowledge about layout of centrifugal compressor
- Knowledge about principle of working & major components of centrifugal compressor
- Maintain discipline of office time, and dress code
- Adherence to customer, quality and environment policies of KPCL
- Follow ISO and 5S procedures
