As a Sr. Product Designer (UX/UI) at Qualys Inc., you will be a key member of the Product Design team, responsible for understanding enterprise-level end users' mental models, technology, and business goals. Your role will involve utilizing strong problem-solving skills to analyze user workflows and design interfaces and workflows that enhance user experience. You should have a solid grasp of design principles, typography, iconography, and other UI aspects. Additionally, your foundation in user data gathering and interaction design pattern libraries will be crucial for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize logical reasoning and analysis to solve complex problems related to user workflows
- Design interfaces and workflows to improve user experience
- Demonstrate expertise in design principles, typography, and iconography
- Gather user data and leverage interaction design pattern libraries effectively
Qualifications Required:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in IT or design studio
- Bachelors or Masters in Engineering, Interaction Design, User Experience Design, Human Factors, Industrial Design, or Business Design from a reputed institute
- Portfolio demonstrating Cyber Security Enterprise product design is an added advantage
As a Product Designer at Qualys Inc., you will be instrumental in helping product managers define strategy and vision from a user perspective. You will not only focus on the aesthetics of design but also on the underlying purpose and rationale behind the design decisions. Your role will involve participating in product strategy and planning meetings, researching and prototyping new design solutions, and creating design artifacts to facilitate the transition of designs to engineering for development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in product strategy and planning meetings
- Research, conceive, sketch, and prototype new design solutions
- Create wireflows, wireframes, mockups, and functional specs documentation
- Utilize the Qualys Design System and contribute to enhancing it
- Apply principles of dashboard design and data visualizations
- Present recent product features, capabilities, and design decisions to stakeholders
- Support qualitative and quantitative research planning and execution
- Manage timelines efficiently and work with extreme attention to detail

- Logical and creative thinking with a data-driven approach to design decisions
