Job Description
As a System Administrator, you will be responsible for setting up, configuring, and maintaining on-premises and cloud-based IT infrastructure across production and non-production environments. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Administering and managing Windows and Linux servers to ensure high availability, performance, and security compliance.
- Performing system restores, refreshes, patch management, upgrades, and license management.
- Monitoring enterprise infrastructure and proactively addressing performance or capacity issues.
- Troubleshooting system-level incidents, executing runbooks, and escalating issues when required.
- Providing operational support across virtualization, storage, backup, and server platforms.
- Managing VMware environments including vCenter, ESXi, vSAN, SRM, and VDI.
- Overseeing storage platforms such as NetApp, Unity, PowerStore, and AWS FSx.
- Administering backup and recovery solutions including NetBackup, IDPA, and Dell Apex.
- Supporting Cyber Vault and Cleanroom infrastructure initiatives.
- Conducting Citrix and Windows patching activities and maintaining compliance standards.
- Utilizing monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Data Insights, and CloudIQ for proactive system management.
- Providing FTP management and scripting support for automation tasks.
- Supporting enterprise applications including EZE, VPM, and IRS systems.
- Collaborating with global IT teams to ensure seamless operations and maintain comprehensive documentation.
Additionally, the company values candidates with 5-12 years of experience in system administration within enterprise IT environments. You should have strong expertise in Windows and Linux server administration, hands-on experience with VMware virtualization technologies, and experience managing storage, backup, and monitoring platforms. Exposure to cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS, is preferred. Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and cross-team collaboration skills are essential for success in this role.
