Senior Python Developer / ML Engineer

As an AI Platform Developer at our company, you will be responsible for working with an AI-powered platform that assists businesses in making informed decisions and enhancing operational efficiency. The platform leverages advanced analytics and machine learning to analyze extensive datasets, offering valuable insights and predictions. Key Responsibilities: - Design and construct scalable backend systems, APIs, and microservices utilizing FastAPI. - Develop high-quality backend code using Python, SQL, async/await, and solid object-oriented programming principles. - Implement software best practices to ensure reliability, scalability, and timely delivery. - Apply dependency injection, layered architectures, and SOLID design patterns. - Integrate Azure OpenAI (GPT-4, GPT-4 Vision) with robust retry and error handling. - Establish LLM observability with Langfuse (prompts, tokens, cost, latency). - Create prompt management with versioning, fallbacks, and cost optimization strategies. - Orchestrate asynchronous workflows using Celery for complex pipelines. - Design multi-tenant architectures with stringent data isolation. - Integrate third-party APIs (Veeva Vault, Adobe PDF Services, OCR). - Troubleshoot systems using structured logging and distributed tracing. - Document APIs and modifications using OpenAPI/Swagger. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or a related field. - Minimum 4 years of practical experience with Machine Learning and production LLM systems. - Strong fundamentals in ML, including transformers, prompt engineering, embeddings, and vector search. - Backend API experience with FastAPI, async patterns, and rate limiting. - Proficiency in vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma) and hybrid search. - Advanced skills in Python, such as async/await, type hints, Pydantic, and SOLID principles. - Experience in MLOps, including MLflow, model versioning, and A/B testing; Langfuse is preferred. - NLP & computer vision experience, covering document understanding, OCR, and GPT-4 Vision. - Experience building feature pipelines, real-time & batch inference, and model serving. - Proficiency with HuggingFace (required); familiarity with LangChain/LlamaIndex is preferred.
