Job Description

As a Senior Data Analyst, Marketing Performance at Salesforce, you will be a crucial partner in driving data-driven decisions within the Slack marketing organization. Your role will focus on utilizing your analytical skills and technical expertise to translate complex data into actionable insights to enhance marketing efficiency, ROI, and customer lifetime value. Key Responsibilities: - Data Modeling, Preparation, and Automation: - Architect and Model: Design, develop, and maintain scalable data models using expert-level SQL to harmonize data from various marketing platforms. - Data Transformation (ETL/ELT): Utilize data preparation tools to structure, clean, and automate the flow of marketing data. - Data Integrity: Ensure marketing data quality and reliable data lineage within the cloud data warehouse. - Reporting, Visualization, and Storytelling: - Dashboard Development: Build and maintain insightful dashboards using Tableau that communicate key performance indicators and strategic recommendations. - Actionable Insights: Deliver strategic insights and present complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders. - Strategic Performance Analysis: - Deep-Dive Analysis: Utilize SQL skills to conduct rigorous analyses into marketing campaign performance, channel efficiency, and customer funnel conversion. - Experimentation: Support the design and analysis of A/B tests to measure the incremental impact of marketing initiatives. Required Skills & Qualifications: - Experience: 5+ years in Marketing Analytics or Business Intelligence within a Tech Company environment. - SQL Mastery: Ability to write complex queries and perform data modeling. Experience with cloud data warehouses is required. - Visualization 'Ninja Guru': Proficiency in Tableau/Power BI/Looker for creating high-impact dashboards. - Data Preparation/ETL Tools: Experience with Tableau Prep or similar tools. - Domain Knowledge: Understanding of digital marketing channels and core concepts like multi-touch attribution, LTV, ROI, and CAC. - Business Acumen: Ability to translate technical data findings into strategic recommendations. - Communication: Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills. Nice-to-Have Skills: - Programming: Hands-on experience with Python or R. - Salesforce experience and product knowledge. - Marketing Tools: Experience with Marketing Technologies and datasets via tools like Google Analytics, Marketing Automation, CRM, and Paid Media channels.
