Procurement Manager- Agriculture

Role Overview: As a Procurement Manager at Ag, an agritech startup dedicated to revolutionizing farming through hydroponics and controlled environment agriculture, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our procurement and supply chain capabilities. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the end-to-end procurement process, managing supplier relationships, optimizing costs through purchasing data analysis, supporting inventory planning, and contributing to budgeting and supply chain efficiency. You will collaborate with various teams such as engineering, operations, finance, and supply chain to ensure timely sourcing of materials required for projects and operations. Key Responsibilities: - Identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with procurement policies and internal standards - Work with cross-functional teams to source materials including electrical, electronics, mechanical, civil components, and agricultural inputs - Analyze purchasing data to optimize costs and maintain procurement documentation - Support inventory planning and contribute to budgeting and supply chain efficiency Qualifications: - Expertise in Supplier Evaluation and building strong vendor relationships - Proficiency in Contract Negotiation and Contract Management - Strong Analytical Skills to evaluate procurement performance and identify cost-saving opportunities - Solid background in Procurement and Supply Chain Management practices and policies - Experience in agritech, engineering, manufacturing, or sustainability sectors is an advantage - Proficiency in procurement tools and ERP systems (such as Odoo, SAP, Tally, or similar platforms) is preferred - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field Additional Company Details: Ag is a growing agritech startup with a team of 50+ members working across various domains such as farm operations, agronomy, demand planning, projects, R&D, procurement, HR, and finance.
