Role Overview:
Contiem, Inc., a company that is ISO 27001 certified and Veteran owned, is looking for a candidate to take on the role of Accounting Manager. As an Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing financial operations, with a focus on Accounts Receivables, Invoicing, Accounts Payable, and overall Accounting Processes. Your role will involve managing project accounting, financial reporting, collaborating with external auditors, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and controls, and providing strategic insights to senior management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that Accounts Receivables/Invoicing and Accounts Payable meet Corporate Key Performance Indicators such as Cash by Month, AR/AP aging, rate forecasting, revenue by product, by vertical, by country, etc.
- Oversee Accounting processes, policies, and the administration of corporate accounting policies.
- Maintain a calendar of Indian legal entity compliance requirements for timely submissions, reporting, and updates.
- Work directly with external audit teams on annual financial audits and tax payments.
- Manage the Accounting team responsible for all aspects of accounting and payroll operations.
- Collaborate with HR on benefits renewals for the India back-office teams.
- Assist in building, managing, and placing controls on business units and company budget.
- Lead a culture of engagement within the operating unit team.
- Collaborate on updating financial statements resulting from bi-monthly reporting of operating unit performance.
- Coordinate internal and external presentations.
- Provide data and guidance on revenue recognition, cost analysis reporting, asset analysis, and subsidiary financial reporting.
- Adhere to deadlines for providing data on monthly actuals and invoicing, tax forecasting, and timely payments.
Qualifications Required:
- Indian citizenship and passport; willingness to travel to any country.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting; professional accounting certification (CPA, chartered accountant, ACCA, etc.) a plus.
- Knowledge of US GAAP required.
- 10 years of experience in Accounting, preferably in a professional services environment.
- Hands-on experience in leading accounting teams supporting multiple business verticals in global technology services.
- Knowledge of international banking systems and practices.
- Familiarity with the latest regulatory compliance requirements for Indian legal entities.
- Strong business acumen, integrity, decisiveness, attention to detail, leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, management, conflict mediation, and presentation skills.
- Experience in multinational environments and managing responsibilities in global-level operations.
