Job Description
As a Data Warehouse Architect for our client, you will be responsible for designing, building, and governing scalable data warehouse solutions that support analytics, reporting, and advanced data use cases. Your expertise in Snowflake, enterprise data modelling, and contemporary cloud-based analytics platforms will be crucial for ensuring performance, security, and cost optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and maintain enterprise data warehouse architectures
- Define logical, physical, and semantic data models (dimensional, 3NF, Data Vault as applicable)
- Translate business requirements into scalable data models and technical designs
- Establish data standards, naming conventions, and modeling best practices
- Lead Snowflake solutions implementation including Virtual Warehouses, Secure data sharing, Time Travel & Zero Copy Cloning
- Optimize performance, concurrency, and cost management on the Snowflake platform
- Implement role-based access control (RBAC) and data security patterns
- Design data ingestion and transformation pipelines using tools such as Snowflake SQL, Informatica, Matillion, Fivetran, Azure Data Factory, etc.
- Support batch and near-real-time data processing
- Ensure data quality, lineage, and auditability
- Define and enforce data governance, metadata management, and data quality frameworks
- Partner with data governance, security, and compliance teams to support regulatory and enterprise data requirements
- Collaborate with data engineers, BI developers, product owners, and enterprise architects
Qualifications Required:
- 8+ years of experience as a Data Warehouse Architect
- Deep expertise in Snowflake, enterprise data modelling, and contemporary cloud-based analytics platforms
- Strong understanding of data warehouse architectures and data modeling best practices
- Experience with data integration, transformation pipelines, and data quality frameworks
- Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and data security patterns
