Job Description
As a Client Tax Associate at the Corporate & Investment Bank, you will have the opportunity to be part of a dynamic organization and develop your career in Tax Operations at one of the world's most innovative banks. **Key Responsibilities:**
- Ensure end-to-end accuracy and timely delivery of the Tax Reclaim filing process for clients within specified deadlines.
- Act as an escalation point for local team members and promptly resolve any issues or blocks.
- Maintain a stable operating environment with robust controls and checks.
- Track, update, and present key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational performance to management.
- Promote a client-centric culture and service mindset within the team.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and tax obligations.
- Facilitate clear and consistent communication within the team and with internal stakeholders.
- Utilize process and industry expertise to drive improvements in accuracy, risk reduction, and efficiency.
- Lead day-to-day operations, decision-making for scenario handling, and act as the primary point of contact for aligned country/LOB.
- Support training and documentation efforts to maintain procedures and strengthen a control-centric environment.
**Qualifications Required:**
- Graduate or Post-Graduate with at least 5 years of experience in operations.
- Hold a Chartered Accountant or equivalent degree for a minimum of 3 years.
- Familiarity with Taxation and Tax Operations for various markets.
- Ability to drive results through a hands-on approach.
- Excellent communication and written skills with clear, concise, and logical documentation ability.
- Maintain high standards of risk and control in your work environment.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work in a dynamic setting with conflicting priorities.
- Strong analytical skills to review market practices, assess oversight metrics, and identify trends.
- Demonstrate high emotional intelligence, networking, and influencing skills.
- Collaborative team player with the ability to progress multiple tasks independently.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Proficient in MS Office applications including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
