Associate Director Software Engineering

As a Software Engineering Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing a team of engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions. Your responsibilities will include: - Demonstrating strong proficiency in Java backend development, utilizing frameworks like Spring Boot and Hibernate. - Leading the design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar. - Ensuring adherence to software engineering best practices, coding standards, and design patterns. - Collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive project success. - Motivating and inspiring your team through excellent leadership and people management skills. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. (A combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.) - Proven experience in a leadership role as a Software Engineering Manager, Engineering Team Lead, or similar position. - Extensive experience with containerization platforms, particularly OpenShift. - Solid understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful API design principles. - Proficient in database design and SQL queries, working with relational databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle. - Strong knowledge of software engineering best practices, coding standards, and design patterns. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Skills: - Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. - Familiarity with front-end technologies like JavaScript, Angular, or React. - Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience with Agile software development practices. - Experience with performance optimization and tuning of backend systems. - Relevant certifications in Java development or related technologies.
