Application Security Engineer

You will be responsible for performing various IT security assessments and audits to ensure the cybersecurity and data protection of the organization. This includes conducting vulnerability assessments, risk assessments, and web application security testing. Additionally, you will be required to analyze security systems architecture, recommend improvements, and develop cybersecurity best practices and standards. Your role will also involve creating testing methodologies, working with Linux and Windows Server environments, and implementing IT security monitoring systems. Furthermore, you will be responsible for handling cyber incident detection, investigation, and analysis activities. Qualifications required for this role include a Bachelors Degree in IT, Computing, Cyber Security, or a related field, along with a minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in the Cyber Security domain. Possessing certifications such as CISA, CISSP, or CRISC will be advantageous. You should have a strong knowledge of firewalls, servers, endpoint security, SIEM, WAF, IPS/IDS, and cloud security. It is essential to stay updated on current cybersecurity trends and hacking techniques. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills are necessary, along with self-motivation, the ability to work independently, and a result-oriented service mindset. An enthusiastic, resourceful, and proactive attitude is also valued in this role.
