Works Manager - Fabrication

Role Overview: Fluidtherm is a technologically advanced manufacturer of industrial furnaces catering to the global Heat Treatment, Powder Metallurgy & Mineral Processing industries. The company's manufacturing facility in Ambattur Industrial Estate Chennai houses its entire R&D and production operations, encompassing modelling, simulation, design, control software, and remote maintenance. As the Works Manager, you will oversee the complete spectrum of operations from issuing manufacturing drawings & instructions to assembling the plant for pre-despatch testing. Your role will involve making agile manufacturing plans, ensuring project timelines are met, planning raw materials and manpower, maintaining quality certification procedures, implementing quality control measures, conducting 6s activities on the production floor, generating project progress reports, and ensuring effective housekeeping. Key Responsibilities: - Make agile manufacturing plans to adapt to rapidly changing circumstances. - Plan and coordinate operations to adhere to project timelines. - Plan raw material requirements. - Strategize manpower planning. - Maintain quality certification procedures and documentation. - Ensure quality control is upheld at all stages of production. - Implement 6s activities on the production floor. - Generate and maintain Project Progress reports. - Ensure effective housekeeping practices are followed. Qualifications Required: - Significant experience in shop floor production management. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, social media, and related apps.
