Job Description
As a Lead Experience Designer, you will play a crucial role in deriving and crafting a UX strategy, conducting User Research & Analysis, Interaction Design, and creating Documentation for designing digital applications across various platforms. Your responsibilities will include:
- Establishing and driving the creative vision of projects, leading from the front and planning milestones effectively.
- Collaborating directly with business stakeholders, project teams, and leads to design user interfaces and validate them with users and stakeholders.
- Designing and delivering creatives while also leading RFPs and contributing effectively to the business.
- Acting as a mentor, managing fellow team members, and handling higher responsibilities as they arise.
To qualify for this role, you will need:
- A Regular/Fulltime Bachelors or Masters Degree, preferably in Human Computers Interaction or a relevant background.
- 6 to 12 years of professional experience in interaction and user experience design.
- A strong design portfolio showcasing enterprise applications, intranets, and websites for various devices.
- Proficiency in Sketch and Adobe Suite, strong communication skills, attention to detail, and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of responsive website design principles and experience with client-side delivery.
In addition to the qualifications, your technical and executional skills should include:
- Researching and understanding user behaviors, needs, and motivations through various methodologies.
- Endorsing user-centered design methodology and working on design problems effectively.
- Conceptualizing, creating, and presenting design strategies for complex projects.
- Leading planning and preparation of design delivery and following best-in-class UX design practices.
- Defining information architecture, creating task-flows, and conducting task-analysis.
- Experience with wireframe development tools and knowledge of software development lifecycle.
- Understanding technical platforms and terms, and experience with design tools like Photoshop.
Moreover, your leadership and people management skills should encompass:
- Mentoring team members, leading a team of user experience designers, and resolving issues effectively.
- Handling multiple projects simultaneously, collaborating with other design disciplines, and ensuring successful delivery.
- Playing a key role in recruitment and campus drives, if applicable.
Your interpersonal skills should reflect a positive attitude, strong teamwork, motivation, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills. Solid organizational skills and attention to detail will also be essential for this role.
