Job Description
A Store Accountant manages daily financial operations, including sales, purchases, expenses, and inventory tracking (stock reconciliation) at the retail level. Key duties include reconciling bank statements, preparing financial reports, managing petty cash, ensuring GST/tax compliance, and using software like Tally Prime to maintain records. The role requires 24 years of experience, a B.Com or similar degree, and strong analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities- Inventory & Financial Control: Monitor inventory levels, perform stock reconciliation, and analyze variances to prevent losses.
- Daily Accounting: Handle daily sales, purchase, and expense entries, as well as Petty Cash management.
- Reporting & Reconciliation: Prepare daily/monthly financial reports, and reconcile bank statements.
- Compliance & Audit: Ensure compliance with tax regulations (e.g., GST, TDS) and assist with internal/external audits.
- Systems Management: Maintain accurate records in accounting software, such as Tally Prime, SAP, or QuickBooks.
