Job Description
As a leading Enterprise AI and Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) company, Infrrd specializes in automating complex, document-heavy workflows using AI and machine learning technologies. Our solutions are instrumental in powering mission-critical operations across various industries such as mortgage, insurance, construction, and manufacturing by unlocking data trapped in documents to drive accuracy, efficiency, and compliance at scale.
As an Underwriter at Infrrd, your main responsibilities will include:
- Conducting end-to-end QC validation, covering aspects like income, assets, credit, collateral, compliance, and closing documentation.
- Identifying underwriting, documentation, and compliance deficiencies.
- Accurately documenting findings with clear root-cause analysis.
- Ensuring adherence to agency and investor guidelines, federal and state mortgage regulations, and internal QC policies and procedures.
- Maintaining 100% compliance with process-related policies, controls, and governance standards.
- Adhering to established Quality and Quantity SLAs.
- Supporting corrective action and preventive action initiatives.
- Identifying process improvement opportunities.
- Collaborating with Product Management to enhance platform features and user experience.
Qualifications required for this role are:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in US Residential Mortgage Underwriting or Post-Closing QC.
- Strong knowledge of conventional, FHA, VA, USDA guidelines, Jumbo and Non-QM loan programs, and agency and investor compliance standards.
- Experience in full loan file review covering Income, Assets, Credit, Appraisal, Compliance, and Closing.
- Excellent analytical and documentation skills.
- Robust attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work under defined SLAs and performance metrics.
- Effective communication and strong interpersonal skills to work independently on multiple assignments.
Preferred qualifications, skills, and capabilities include:
- Recognizing issues or problems that require escalation.
- Demonstrating strong domain learning and interpersonal communication skills.
- Applying analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in Mortgage QC platforms or LOS systems such as Encompass, ACES, or Doc Magic.
- Familiarity with TRID, ATR/QM, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Prior experience working in a structured QC or audit environment.
