Job Description
As a Transport Planner at SYSTRA India, you will be part of a dynamic team that is growing to meet the global transport modelling demand. Your role will primarily involve working on micro-simulation models and pedestrian models, analyzing model results, and preparing technical reports. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in a highly motivated and inspirational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and calibrate/validation of micro-simulation models
- Develop pedestrian models
- Undertake analysis of model results
- Learn new techniques and software packages
- Prepare technical reports
Qualifications Required:
- Master's degree level qualification or above in relevant subject (e.g., Transport Planning/Engineering or Civil Engineering)
- 5-10 years of relevant experience in the field
- Experience in Micro-Simulation Software (e.g. VISSIM, VISWALK, PARAMICS, AIMSUN)
- Familiarity with TfL and UK modeling guidelines
- Data analysis skills and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in Python, R, Visual Basic for Applications, or similar tools
- Knowledgeable user of data analytics and mapping tools (GIS)
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience in mentoring junior colleagues

Note: Preference may be given to candidates with experience in junction modelling tools like LINSIG, ARCADY, PICADY, strategic modelling packages like SATURN, VISUM, CUBE, EMME, and economic appraisal tools like TUBA, COBALT, QUADRO, although these are not essential for the role.
