Technical Writer

Role Overview: As a Software Technical Writer, your main responsibility will be to create clear, accurate, and user-friendly documentation for software products. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and QA teams to translate complex technical concepts into manuals, API documentation, user guides, installation procedures, and release notes. Key Responsibilities: - Work closely with other writers, product managers, engineers, and the User Experience (UX) team in an Agile development environment to produce in-app assistance, help, guides, interactive training, and videos for administrators, users, and developers. - Craft content for end users with a focus on quickly learning complex technologies. - Maintain high standards of quality and attention to detail in all documentation. - Utilize XML-based authoring tools such as Oxygen and source control software like Perforce or Git. - Solve problems effectively and communicate clearly while being an advocate for the customer. - Collaborate with different teams and vendors to build a comprehensive document library for the Organizational teams. Qualifications Required: - Familiarity with authoring tools such as Madcap Flare, Adobe InDesign, Adobe FrameMaker, and Oxygen XML. - Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and SharePoint, including creating templates, consistent styles, and file sharing. - Experience in collaborating with other technical writers on reviewing deliverables. - 3 - 5 years of experience in reviewing/editing deliverables.
