Strategic Ledger- Financial Analyst, Officer

You are invited to join our team as a Manager, Financial Analyst at Citi, a company currently undergoing a Finance Transformation initiative to implement a new Global Financial Accounting and General Ledger platform. The Strategic Ledger program, utilizing Oracle Cloud technology, aims to enhance technical capabilities and support finance transformation strategies. As a Financial Analyst specialist, your role will involve critical tasks related to data conversion, reconciliation, mapping, and downstream data analysis for regulatory and reporting purposes. Your responsibilities will include: - Reviewing Business Requirement Document (BRD) and Functional Requirements Document (FRD) to understand project scope and functionality - Owning and preparing detailed plans with milestones based on program requirements and discussions with Technology partners - Validating reference data completeness and accuracy for each month's data - Analyzing and investigating data sets between converted and legacy data, ensuring accuracy and completeness - Identifying data challenges, financial impacts, and driving sustainable solutions - Performing reconciliations, mapping transformations, and providing meaningful explanations of variances - Conducting fit/gap analysis, identifying automation opportunities, and managing risks impacting program delivery - Presenting data to Controllers, resolving queries, and participating in testing phases of the project - Facilitating working group sessions, planning, and reviews to ensure project milestones are met - Ensuring robust controls around testing and documentation, including root cause analysis and remediation - Managing daily project plans and key milestones Competencies & Qualifications required for this role include: - Strong proficiency in Accounting and Financial reporting, with understanding of US GAAP and IFRS principles - Comprehensive knowledge of managing financial records and preparing financial statements - Experience in driving transformation initiatives, Full suite and upstream/downstream data architecture, Tableau, SQL, and exposure to Charts of Accounts and Regulatory reporting - Disciplined management of data modifications, data-driven decision making, and problem-solving skills - Robust control mindset with integrity and accountability Education Qualifications & Experience: - Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Masters degree in Accounting - 5+ years of relevant experience in financial services focusing on accounting, financial reporting, transformation, and program delivery Join us at Citi and be a part of our diverse and inclusive team where qualified candidates are valued based on their skills and experience, regardless of background.
