Job Description
Role Overview:
As a Sr. QA Test Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test scripts to ensure the quality, performance, and functionality of software products. You will collaborate closely with developers and QA team members to identify and resolve issues, initially focusing on manual testing before transitioning to automation. Your role will involve leading test efforts, implementing automation frameworks, ensuring high-quality releases while maintaining regulatory compliance, and working with cross-functional teams, leveraging experience in both manual and automated testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct automated testing of the system's components, build functional tests, and determine test requirements for each component. Maintain documentation, assist with sprint and final release planning, and ensure scheduled delivery.
- Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to validate applications' functionality, performance, and reliability through automated testing tools and frameworks.
- Implement and execute automated test suites as part of the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software.
- Identify, prioritize, and report software defects using issue-tracking systems. Work closely with the development team to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Conduct regression testing to ensure software release stability and reliability, and contribute to test coverage optimization efforts.
- Stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in test automation, and recommend improvements to the testing process and automation framework.
- Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, retrospectives, and provide feedback on testability, automation coverage, and overall product quality.
- Document automation scripts, contribute to creating technical documentation, and participate in knowledge-sharing sessions within the team.
Qualification Required:
- Masters/Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Science, Physics, Math, or any related discipline.
- ISTQB Test Automation Engineering Certification or equivalent is a plus.
