Job Description

As a Network Engineer reporting to the Network Manager, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining high-performance transmission systems across enterprise networks. Your role will involve hands-on troubleshooting, configuration, and optimization of transmission paths to ensure seamless connectivity and minimal downtime. Key responsibilities include:
- Defining and documenting Network Engineering Standards
- Creating Low Level Design documents and detailed Implementation Plans
- Managing Technical Lifecycle Management for all Network & Communications services
- Supporting Architecture in creating a Delivery Roadmap and scoping activities for the High Level Design
- Providing escalation support to Operations with complex troubleshooting of Major Incidents
- Procurement activities relating to build and delivery of new services
Qualifications required for this role include:
- Total 12+ years of experience with a minimum of 8 years in Transmission network solutions within a global enterprise
- Strong understanding of network principles, compliance standards, and regulatory requirements
- Familiarity with network topology, telecommunication network transmission nodes, and transmission media test equipment
- Knowledge of signal strength, network technologies, and risk and compliance concepts
- Expertise in Transmission Network technologies like DWDM, SDH, and Network Routing & Switching
- Certification in Cisco CCNA/CCNP or equivalent, along with experience in handling transmission jobs in financial systems
Personal attributes desired for this role include being highly organized, proactive, and having excellent problem management and customer service skills. You should be able to work effectively in a team, maintain high professional standards, and act with integrity at all times.
