Sr Engineer - Systems Engineering

In this role at Emerson, as a Distributed Control System professional, you will work as a DCS System Engineer / Senior System Engineer in the Pune Centre of Excellence engineering team. Your responsibilities will include: - Designing, implementing, and testing system software such as user interface system, database, control logics, batch layer, etc. - Supporting Lead engineer as Area/Sub lead for Medium to Large size projects. - Demonstrating good knowledge of DCS / PLC system with exposure to S88 architecture being preferable. - Having hands-on experience in Batch process Applications in industries like Biotech, Pharma, F&B, Terminal automation, etc. - Following strict procedural guidelines and standards, preparing design and test documents. - Interpreting Functional requirement documents and developing Detail Designs Documents. - Developing Configuration and Test guidelines, conducting or participating in FAT/SAT/Commissioning. - Being willing to travel to Customer site or Emerson overseas offices for short / long term. - Ensuring Quality Control & Assurance, implementing EEEC IMS processes/documentation as required. - Adhering to WA quality requirements and Customer's regulatory guidelines, promoting a First time right approach. - Strictly following GDP (Good Documentation Practices). - Performing other additional specific duties as requested by the business under guidance of a supervisor. To be successful in this role, you will need: - Minimum 3 to 7 years' experience in DCS system software configuration and test; PLC configuration knowledge preferable. - Experience in DCS - Software configuration and test, with Batch and S88 Applications being desirable. - Experience in conducting FAT / SAT and working with Third party interfaces (Modbus, Profibus, OPC, etc.). - Knowledge on Validation aspects is desirable. - Experience in using MS-Office tools (Word, Excel, Access, etc.). Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart: - Degree in Instrumentation & Electronics or any related or equivalent field. - Basic understanding of networking protocols and concepts. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Certified or gets certified on GAMP5 and GDP requirements. - Experience in DeltaV system.
