Job Description
As an associate on the Global Sales & Services Operations (GSSO) team at Gartner, you will play a crucial role in shaping the company's mission-critical sales priorities. The team collaborates with sales & services leaders to drive tactical and analytical insights to support the global sales force, which generates approximately $4.9B in annual revenue and aims for sustained double-digit growth. Your responsibilities will involve partnering with business leaders across Gartner to enhance the performance of a sales force comprising more than 5,000 associates selling to various functions, industries, and market sectors worldwide.
Role Overview:
- The Sales Data & Reporting Sr Analyst position is part of the Reporting & Automation Analytics team within GSSO.
- You will leverage data to drive strategic decision-making and optimize sales performance.
- The role requires a deep understanding of data analytics, sales processes, and business intelligence tools to provide actionable insights for enhancing sales strategies and operations.
- Strong analytical skills, experience with data visualization, and effective communication of complex data findings to stakeholders at different levels are key aspects of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize standard statistical tools, methods, and techniques to compile and analyze data accurately.
- Generate hypotheses for key business performance drivers and develop hypotheses based on data and business knowledge.
- Choose appropriate visualizations for different data types and reporting purposes.
- Build effective analytical solutions using various BI tools.
- Research, assess, and recommend operational and technical solutions for analytic processes.
- Identify opportunities and recommend actions to add value and drive business improvement.
- Distill complex analyses into clear, concise key themes and findings.
- Ensure consistent data quality across all dashboards, analyses, and reports.
- Prioritize critical activities, manage time efficiently, and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Monitor KPIs and metrics to evaluate sales effectiveness and efficiency.
- Establish relationships with key business partners and support ad-hoc analytical requests and projects.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor's degree in business Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum 4-5 years of experience in Sales Analytics, Business Intelligence, or a related analytical role.
- Proficiency in data analytics tools such as SQL, DAX, Power Query(M).
- Knowledge of data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Familiarity with Sales processes, Customer 360, CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), and sales performance metrics.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for conveying data findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to data accuracy and quality.
- Experience with Salesforce Reports, Dashboards, and CRM Analytics is preferred.
- Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL processes, and cloud-based data platforms.
