Job Description
As a Senior Accountant at Gartner, Inc., you will be responsible for statutory financial reporting for multiple international entities. Your role will involve preparing and reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, and statutory financial statements in compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, and local regulations. You will lead month-end and year-end close processes, draft clear financial reports, analyze financial data to identify variances and opportunities, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and statutory financial statements in compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, and local regulations.
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes.
- Draft clear, accurate financial reports for management and external stakeholders.
- Analyze financial data to identify variances, risks, and opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Seek process improvements to enhance efficiency within the accounting function.
- Present findings and reports to management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance (CA, CPA, ACCA, or progress toward a recognized accounting qualification preferred).
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with statutory reporting under US GAAP and IFRS.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated experience in statutory financial accounting and reporting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft products.
- High attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
