Role Overview: As a SAP Test Engineer at MSD, you will ensure the quality and functionality of software by meticulously designing and executing test cases. Your responsibilities will include identifying and documenting software defects, collaborating with developers to resolve issues, and contributing to the continuous improvement of testing processes. This role involves both manual and automated testing, requiring strong technical skills, SAP knowledge, and attention to detail. Key Responsibilities: - Develop detailed test plans and cases based on thorough analysis of SAP software requirements, functional specifications, and user stories. - Conduct various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, system, and security role-based testing to ensure SAP software meets all specified criteria. - Execute automated test scripts and analyze results to identify defects or issues in Enterprise applications. - Perform manual testing for complex scenarios that cannot be automated. - Identify, document, and track software defects. Collaborate closely with developers to reproduce issues, troubleshoot problems, and validate bug fixes, ensuring clear communication of testing requirements and outcomes. - Identify, document, and report software defects using bug tracking tools. Ensure detailed and accurate documentation of testing activities and outcomes. - Conduct root cause analysis for any issues identified during testing and develop corrective action plans. - Develop and maintain automated test scripts to improve testing efficiency and repeatability. Utilize tools such as TOSCA or other automated testing frameworks. - Attend product design and requirements review meetings to provide insights and feedback from a testing perspective. Highlight potential issues and propose improvements. - Perform post-release and post-implementation testing to validate that all requirements and specifications have been met. Ensure software remains stable and functional after deployment. - Contribute to the improvement of testing processes, tools, and methodologies. Stay updated with the latest testing techniques and industry trends. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors' degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or any Technology stream. - 5+ years of experience in SAP testing, preferably in a pharmaceutical environment, quality assurance, or related fields. - Proven experience with different SAP modules (e.g., SAP FI, CO, Tax, MM, SD, QM, PM, PP, WM, EWM, ARIBA, Concur, Fieldglass, SAP Cloud Commerce, ATTP - Serialization, etc.) and their functionalities is required. Prior experience with S/4 HANA would be advantageous. - Experience with SAP APIs, SAP BTP / Integration Suite and Integration testing. - Experience with SOAP, Rest, IDOC, ODATA Integration Testing. - Proven experience with SDLC in the pharmaceutical industry required. - Involvement in SAP implementation or upgrade projects, particularly in testing roles is required. - Proven experience in various testing methodologies such as Manual Testing, Automated Testing, Performance Testing, and Load Testing required. - Knowledge of programming languages like ABAP (Advanced Business Application Programming) can be beneficial for understanding the backend processes. - Proven experience with testing tools and frameworks (e.g., JIRA, XRAY, TOSCA, Live Compare Analytics, HP ALM, Load Runner) required. - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. - Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with cross-functional teams. - Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities. - Certifications in quality assurance, application management, project management, and testing are preferred, such as ITSQB (e.g., Certified Tester or Advanced Test Manager), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Agile Tester Certification (CAT), Certified Software Tester (CSTE), or Quality Assurance and Testing (QAT), PMP, or other relevant certifications.
