Job Description
As a Software Reliability Engineer at Esri, your role involves ensuring the reliability, high availability, and disaster recovery features of the ArcGIS Enterprise product. You will gather user requirements, define them for the team, evaluate the product, and guide users through documentation, videos, and presentations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Gathering software reliability and availability requirements directly from users and indirectly from other Esri staff in Support and Professional Services
- Leading cross-team efforts as reliability features and requirements cut across all functionalities
- Testing the software by creating test plans, automating tests, evaluating results, and ensuring defects are addressed
- Communicating with users through written documentation and presentations
Qualifications required for this position include:
- 2 to 6 years in a position with operational responsibilities, such as monitoring, maintaining, and deploying enterprise software
- Experience in software testing
- Fundamental understanding of web services, such as REST and others
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills in a complex backend-server stack, preferably with ArcGIS Enterprise
- Effective communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science and applications, math, GIS, geography, or related field
- Existing work authorization for India
Recommended qualifications include:
- Master's degree in engineering, computer science and applications, math, GIS, geography, or related field
- Experience administering ArcGIS Enterprise
- Experience working on a development team
