Job Description
As a Full Stack Software Engineer at S&P Global Energy, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, AWS, and UI technologies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver complex business solutions and ensure application performance, security, and scalability in production environments. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Designing, developing, testing, and deploying high-quality, scalable applications using Java and Spring Boot
- Building and maintaining RESTful APIs and microservices-based architectures
- Creating beautiful and responsive UI with templates provided using HTML5, CSS3, Typescript, and Angular
- Writing clean, maintainable, and testable code with proper unit and integration tests
- Supporting production systems and troubleshooting issues when required
Qualifications required for this role include:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in application development and production support
- Strong hands-on experience with SQL databases, particularly Oracle and PostgreSQL
- Advanced experience with Spring-based technologies (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, etc.)
- Proven experience in REST API design and microservices architecture
- Solid understanding of UI technologies such as Angular/ReactJS, Typescript, HTML5, CSS
- Working knowledge of AWS Cloud services, including EC2, ECS, ECR, Load Balancer, Security Groups, S3, Lambda
- Experience with containerization and DevOps practices
In addition to the technical skills, the ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving and communication skills, the ability to work independently, and take end-to-end ownership of deliverables. Experience with infrastructure as code tools, CI/CD pipelines, and stream processing engines will be beneficial.
Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience, with domain knowledge in Financial Services / Capital Markets considered a plus.
