Job Description
As a Site Reliability Engineer at NICE, you will play a crucial role in supporting large complex enterprise software clients, including applications, servers, SQL, and network. Your excellent problem-solving skills will be essential as you work to deliver insights from massive scale data in real-time. Here's what the role entails:
**Role Overview:**
You will be responsible for monitoring system availability, managing platform infrastructure and applications, and improving the reliability, quality, and time-to-market of software solutions. Your focus will be on optimizing system performance, ensuring operational support for multiple large distributed software applications, and collaborating with development teams to enhance services.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Run the production environment, monitoring availability and system health
- Build software and systems to manage platform infrastructure and applications
- Improve reliability, quality, and time-to-market of software solutions
- Measure and optimize system performance, pushing capabilities forward
- Provide primary operational support and engineering for multiple large distributed software applications
- Gather and analyze metrics to assist in performance tuning and fault finding
- Partner with development teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures
- Participate in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning
- Create sustainable systems and services through automation and uplifts
- Balance feature development speed and reliability with service level objectives
**Qualifications Required:**
- 2+ years of programming/scripting experience with languages like Go, Python, .Net (C#), Node
- Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
- 2-3 years of experience in systems engineering, automation, and reliability
- Proficiency in at least one programming language and experience with scripting languages
- Deep understanding of cloud computing platforms, services, and infrastructure as code tools
- Knowledge of CI/CD concepts and tools, containerization technologies, and microservices architecture
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues in distributed systems
- Experience in incident management and postmortems
- Willingness to work on Graveyard Shift
You may have an advantage if you also have experience with Kubernetes, Grafana, AWS, Azure, and DevOps.
