Role Overview:
SonicWall, a cybersecurity forerunner with over 30 years of experience, is dedicated to providing relentless security against cyberattacks for organizations worldwide. As a Security Researcher at SonicWall, you will play a crucial role in performing research, analysis, and testing of network, application, physical, and procedural vulnerabilities to enhance the overall security posture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research, analysis, and testing of vulnerabilities through vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, and social engineering.
- Perform vulnerability scanning of SonicWall products, servers, and appliances in the backend network.
- Clearly document and present test findings in detailed reports.
- Acquire a comprehensive technical understanding of SonicWall products to provide technical leadership in issue resolution.
- Collaborate with team members to respond to security alerts and threats, implementing necessary security tools and processes.
- Stay updated on IT security threats, prioritize mitigation controls, and review logs and reports for appropriate resolution.
- Liaise with external security researchers, participate in investigations, and provide on-call support for security solutions.
Qualification Required:
- College diploma or university degree in computers or engineering or equivalent work experience of 6 years.
- Demonstrable experience in advanced Web application penetration testing.
- Proficiency in tools like Kali, Nmap, Nessus, Metasploit, Acunetix, etc.
- 2+ years of experience in Professional Web-Application Development or Source Code Review.
- Knowledge of web architecture, protocols, data flow through applications, and common software security issues.
- Strong analytical skills, technical competence, and self-motivation.
