Senior Software Engineer - Trading

As a Low Latency Software Developer at Open Futures, a proprietary algorithmic trading firm, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing high-performance algorithmic trading software. You will work closely with Senior Traders to develop Low Latency Trading Systems, real-time trade management platforms, risk analysis platforms, and low-level systems optimizations for data processing. Collaboration with experienced teammates will be key to learning and implementing bespoke solutions that balance speed, features, and cost to improve our technology stack. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and test high-performance algorithmic trading software. - Work alongside Senior Traders to develop Low Latency Trading Systems. - Develop real-time trade management and risk analysis platforms. - Optimize low-level systems for efficient data processing. Qualifications Required: - A degree in Computer Science or Engineering. - 1 to 5 years of professional work experience using C/C++ and Python in a UNIX/LINUX environment. - Good knowledge of FIX protocol, network programming (TCP/IP), multi-threaded applications, computational intelligence, real-time programming, or GUI programming. - Prior experience in the HFT industry is preferred. - Familiarity with exchange connectivity, FIX protocol, market data handlers, etc. - Hard-working, self-motivated, and willingness to see tasks through to completion. - Ability to think creatively and work in an open environment that encourages learning and growth.
