Senior Software Engineer - .Net Development

As a .NET Backend Developer at our company, your role will involve designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend applications and web services using .NET Framework (4.8+) and .NET Core. You will be responsible for delivering end-to-end features in Agile/Scrum methodology, utilizing tools like Jira, GitHub/Bitbucket, and Azure DevOps. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Implementing and maintaining RESTful APIs with ASP.NET Web API, utilizing JWT token authentication.
• Working on both Application Development (AD) and Application Maintenance & Support (AMS) projects.
• Integrating with external systems, including Payment Gateways and POS systems (advantageous).
• Managing data access and manipulation using SQL Server and optionally MongoDB.
• Developing and scheduling background services using Cron Jobs and integrating Kafka queues for asynchronous processing.

To excel in this role, you should have:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience working on enterprise-scale projects as a Sr Developer/ Sr Software Engineer/ Sr Lead.
• Hands-on experience in both App Development (AD) and App Maintenance & Support (AMS) projects.
• Agile/Scrum delivery using GitHub/BitBucket/Azure DevOps/Jira is a must.
• Experience in/knowledge of the Airline-Retail industry (Retail segment of Airlines) is preferred.
• Payment Gateway/POS expertise/awareness would be an added advantage.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills are mandatory.
• A learning and collaborative mindset while working on tasks independently without much assistance.

Additionally, you should have proficiency in the following technologies:

• APIs: ASP.NET Web APIs with JWT token authentication.
• Database: SQL Server, MongoDB (knowledge on this is an added advantage).
• Queues: Kafka.
• Framework: .NET Framework (from at least version 4.8), .NET Core (latest version).
• Build: Jenkins.
• Deployment: Octopus.
• Scheduler: Cron Jobs.
• Logging: New Relic.
• Source Repository: GitHub.
• Reports: SSRS (Added Advantage).
