Role Overview: You will be joining a team at Charles River Development (CRD), which is a part of State Street, responsible for creating enterprise investment management software solutions. Together, the team has launched the State Street Alpha platform, the first open front-to-back platform in 2019. Your role will be crucial in delivering complex platforms into production, driving technical excellence, and providing thought leadership in product architecture design. Key Responsibilities: - Strong experience in enterprise application architecture and platform-based solution design - Deliver complex platforms into production and drive technical excellence - Collaborate with Business Analysts and Product Managers to create sustainable software solutions - Develop, test, debug, and implement software programs using various software engineering languages - Write unit and automation tests to ensure high-quality end products - Contribute to written design and API documentation - Identify ways to improve development test methodologies and frameworks - Provide expert troubleshooting on large, mission-critical client implementations - Assist in the agile software development process by following CRD scrum methodology Qualifications Required: - B. S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics; MS degree preferred - Minimum of 9 years of professional software engineering experience - Ideally, minimum of 3 years of experience in financial services - Experience with Spring Boot Microservices, cloud deployment, and object-oriented programming - Familiarity with microservice architectures, Kubernetes, Kafka, Snowflake, and Postgres SQL - Strong problem-solving abilities and outstanding communication skills - Experience working with Agile development methodology Additional Details: Charles River Investment Management System provides various Front-Office functions including Portfolio Management, Order Management, Compliance, and Wealth Management.
