Job Description
As an internal Digitalization Consultant at Siemens Energy, your role will involve implementing data-driven solutions by building and maintaining data pipelines and solutions that drive the company's operations. You will work both independently and collaboratively on various projects, ranging from quick-win tasks to more complex initiatives. Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and delivery
- Creating scalable data products to support analytics and operational requirements
- Developing analytics solutions, performing data analysis, and visualization using tools like Alteryx, Snowflake, Tableau, and Power BI
- Ensuring data integrity, quality, performance, and security across all data solutions with clear documentation
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide technical guidance
- Staying updated with the latest trends in data engineering, analytics, and cloud development to contribute to shaping the target data architecture
To qualify for this role, you should have:
- A University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in data engineering, data analytics, or related fields
- Strong proficiency in SQL and knowledge of Python or similar scripting languages
- Experience with version control best practices and tools like Git
- Expertise in building cloud-based data pipelines using tools such as Snowflake, Azure, dbt, or AWS
- Proven experience in developing data analytics solutions with Alteryx, Snowflake, Tableau, or Power BI
- Knowledge of SAP data structures is a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in agile setups
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of data governance and best practices in data management
- Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written; knowledge of German is a plus
