Job Description
As a Senior Security Engineer / Threat Hunter at F5, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding F5s enterprise and product environments using cutting-edge security technologies. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Leading threat hunting engagements across enterprise and product environments, guiding team members, and upskilling efforts.
- Conducting proactive threat hunting and digital forensics across various platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Linux, Windows, and macOS.
- Performing technical security assessments, automating manual processes, and collaborating with other teams to implement security standards.
To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and experience:
- Minimum of 8 years in cybersecurity with hands-on experience in threat hunting, digital forensics, and incident response.
- Demonstrated expertise in designing and executing hypothesis-driven threat hunts across different environments.
- Strong proficiency in SIEM platforms, SOAR, EDR/XDR tools, and cloud security.
- Knowledge of scripting or automation tools like Python, PowerApps, or Power Automate.
- Experience with cloud security, UNIX/Linux systems, networking protocols, and firewall architecture.
Preferred qualifications include certifications such as GCIH, GCFR, GCFA, or equivalent SANS DFIR/threat hunting training, familiarity with ServiceNow or similar systems, and exposure to container orchestration and CI/CD pipelines.
In addition to technical skills, excellent communication abilities and the capacity to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders are essential for this role.
